have to side with USaA on this one. Not his side per se but we live in two different worlds when it comes to crops.  the midwest mostly the I states get better weather and higher yields easier. That is a general statement don't get in a frenzy. The corn we harvest Always is wet to start if your ever going to get done ahead of the weather. That means the number one plan in the spring is plant something that will be ripe before snow. Number two is handling wet grain. Now for you folks it is slightly different . go for big yields and drying and handling is secondary. Maybe as it should be, some of the choices we all make.  here you don't plant another acre extra till you have a way or plan to handle 30 percent corn.

it is not an attack on anybody, and we wish you the best. the problem comes from the posts about the right way of doing things, you folks have your ways and they work most times,as does the plan for the rest of us. We deal with what you are going through most every year. And not a lot of sympathy to go with it. hell most of the I guys are already gone to Arizona or Florida by the time we are winding up.  couldn't make a go of it but basis and prices close to markets keep us in the game.

Best of luck to all those trying to finish up.
