Your combine is not "new" the second day you use it.  Just in the immediate area I've seen numerous major breakdowns during the warranty period.  I've experienced them myself, for that matter.   I'm frankly not gullible enough to believe this bull about how new machinery "doesn't break down."

I'm very glad there are people out there with the extra money laying around to throw into turning new iron into used iron.
