The 25-ton guess is probably pretty close. One that was a bit smaller than that around here clocked in at 15 tons when they weighed it at the co-op. http://farmindustrynews.com/jeffryan/0601-piece-of-the-rock/index.h...

A friend who picked a lot of rocks as a kid said she saw some at Home Depot for general yard landscaping and they were going for somewhere between $600 and $1000 per ton once she did the math. As a farmer, I'd be willing to cut out the middleman and let 'em all go for $550 a ton.
