Subject: Wife machinery - Toyota Corolla in the snow

Alberta
My wife calls our '09 Corolla "California"... One snowflake on the ground and you better hope you have some passengers to help push. Then when the rear brakes freeze up in -30' C you go nowhere. The car is too delicate and light.
We had an old Saturn with all season tires and I have driven down roads with snowdrifts up to the headlights.
don't know why, maybe heavier and certainly tougher.
