I think it's just the nature of the car. I have a honda accord that also sucks in the snow. Both are great cars, except for winter driving. I have an old Buick I use when the weather is bad. Will go through a lot and is easy to control. I think it's because it's a much heavier car, and I've had it 10 years so I know what to expect.
