| I've been thinking here lately. I've got a 1991 4955 that isn't as stout as I think it should be. I worked ground this fall with a 24.5' TMii dmi field cultivator on the around 6-8" deep tearing out old beds at 5.2 mph, occasionally downshifting to 4.8. This ground was tight and generally this gumbo dosent seem to work well cold. Does this sound about right? Neither it or my 4850 have suprised me. In the '70-'80s I had 2 4840s pulling 250 at the pump and a couple stout 1586 ih's. I haven't dynoed this tractor though, what can I do or check? Is this typical? It dosent run hot atall it just runs out of rpms!
