We fought the same issue on our 7140. Would clean out the aspirator tube and elbow flapper regularly and still plug filters. Finally ended up taking apart the filter housing and taking the rivets out that hold two pieces together that create little venturis. Cleaned that out good and problem solved.

Check this if they are plugged it can cause issues.
