I've had local mail people give exemplary service but in every organization there's somebody who has risen farther in the organization than they should.  Many years ago when CB's were a thing and people sent post cards to confirm their communication via skip I got a post card with only my first name, our town and state.

On the other hand I dropped a check in the mail box in the alley ½ block from the business and they never got it.

And once I carried the mail in from the box and had a check blow away in our gentle Iowa breeze and had to ask the sender to replace it.

Stuff happens and some business's just complicate things.
