| I would investigate the strange air problem first. Air will only enter on the negative pressure (suction) side of plumbing. So that immediately eliminates all pressurized areas of the plumbing as the culprit.
If you strike out there, a good test to perform, would be to run the system using a dummy flow meter. What I usually do, is take our spare flowmeter and plug the electrical connector into it. Then I spin it over with a SMALL amount of shop air from a blowgun. Run everything on MANUAL … running on automatic will send the system to either full or no output since there wont be any "closed-loop" feedback. Only worry about monitoring the flowrate (GPM) and make sure it stays steady. Gallons/Acre is just a calculated value using measured product flow and machine speed. Looking at speed and flow individually, helps isolate the problem to specific areas.
The nice thing about this test, it gives a wealth of diagnosis with only having unplug and plug in one small connector.
