Northern CA | Hi - I am looking for some help in troubleshooting an application issue on our floater sprayer. I would even be willing to pay for some phone time consultation if needed. We are about 700 miles from a dealer that understands the system. It is a Case IH 3020 with a 610 liquid system. It is controlled by a Viper 4.
Whether in manual mode or auto mode, the indicated rate will not stay constant. The display will jump constantly from 4 to 45 gallons per acre. This is with the target rate set anywhere from 10-40 gpa and 16 mph as a test speed. We have #5 tips in it at 30” spacing. The nozzle output doesn’t appear to fluctuate as much or hardly at all from what I can visually see. I have set the sparge from open to closed. I have replaced the flow meter. I have checked the PWM voltage, and it appears to change correctly.
I have been in the spray / application business since 2006. This is by far the most stumped I have ever been. I have fought with it off and on for 2 weeks. Any thoughts? Thanks.
