super99 - 2/18/2022 06:47 I know every little about ev's, no desire to own one and out of my price range anyhow. How much power does it take to generate electricity to charge the batteries?? You stated that they pulled a Tesla at 30 mph and it generated enough electricity to drive it the distance pulled. Why can't an onboard generator replace the power used as you drive it?? I guess that would turn it into a perpetual motion machine and that isn't possible, right?? No, it wouldn't be a perpetual motion machine. First it would violate the law of conservation of energy, but obviously the generator would have to be powered. If you were implying that driving the car with a connection to the generator would power the generator remember the law. Perhaps at some point solar panels would be as efficient as people imagine and they could charge an alternate battery that would let you limp to a charging station. |
