I used RainX once on a car windshield, never again, was terrible, left a dreadful film.  You could not clean the
windshield after that with the car washer, or with a cleaner.
Very hard to remove, I say don't use it.

The trick with rainx is to let it dry on the glass for 15 minutes, then polish off the dry film excess with a couple dry squares of paper towel. turn the towel often while removing residue.


Good to know I wasn't the only one to read and follow the directions for RainX. 

Properly applied to an already thoroughly cleaned windshield it works great, just need to refresh it when it starts to lose it's beading ability.
