ECMN | My day to day job is IR inspection in an oil refinery, here is a camera for about $170. I have no idea how good or bad it is the “cheap” one I use to look at the outside of equipment is $10,000. The one I use that can look through flames at temps up to 2000F is $60,000. It is possible that a person who inspects homes for real estate transactions may have a camera to do it. May even be able to get a utility company to come out for nothing if you play along with their “energy audit”
