Brazilton KS | Our 210" FLD120 with 3176 and 42' Cornhusker weighed right at 25k...that was all steel..the trailer is on half aluminum now so it's maybe 500 lbs lighter. The same trailer on the 220" FLD120 with 3406B, 212" T600 with 3406E, or 160ish" Volvo with 855 all weigh about 27- 28k. The 38' Timpte or 35' Dorsey weigh about a a ton more then the husker and the 43' American weighs maybe 3000 more then the Husker. All the short trailers are on steel. The light FLD and the Volvo are steel. The long FLD is rear steel, front aluminum, and the T6 is all aluminum. A friend used to have a W9 and I think Husker trailer which would tare close to 20k. All singles, one small tank, aluminum frame, hubs, suspension parts, and maybe third member?? And he was still stuck on NTA's at that time. A lighter engine would have helped even more. He lost most of his fleet when they were all lined up in the yard and one caught on fire in the middle of the night.
