Subject: RE: Tare weight of semi

the best combo for net load of grain is a set of pups with single axle tractor. tare weight should run around 23-24,ooo and gross would be whatever state allows. nebraska allows 95,000 on such a combo.
federal bridge formula allows 95,000 gross..

in your case with a 34 ft trailer I would guess your max gross is around 73,000 legal
with a 34 ft trailer you probally got a inner bridge of 30 feet , bridge allows about 62,000 for that and you possiblely might get 11,000 on the front axle. so with a tare of 27k you can net about 46,000 legal
