Subject: RE: 3308 Gleaner corn head

I have a chopping version. The reason I got it was because it didn't knock everything down crossing rows while opening fields. It works as good as the old hugger heads in down corn. I was not happy with the Fantini I had before the 3308C. My son plays with the tilt and speed of the head more than I do and he definitely got it to work better than I did so adjustment does make a difference. The lugs on the chains need to be across from each other rather than staggered. I can't remember ever reversing this head in 4 years.
