. | Yes, it is standing corn. It's not real uncommon for some farmers around here to leave it. Some have contracts at the ethanol plant and just wait until it's time to deliver and then right from the field to the plant. But this was not a year to leave it standing. We got snow, then a rain that sealed the snow on the stalks, followed by more snow and then some really strong winds. An awful lot of the corn left in the fields has gone down as a result.
