ecmn | agco is getting better at getting the power through the tractor. they were pretty "safe" on early models so the new replacement tractors had a hard time beating the old version. some software changes were made and the tractors got better.
the 1046 on the grain cart will be leaps and bounds better simply because you can put it in pedal mode and drive like a car, cross gate hydraulic knob is a natural fit for the cart controls.
for tillage the tractor will be more efficient with a little smaller implement at a little faster ground speed,
had a short demo with a 1050 with big duals front and back, not much cast weight other than big block up front, on 1500 bu grain cart 1050 was much faster than 500 quad, on disk ripper even in some greasy spots tractors were pretty equal. would have been fun to have more time to record fuel usage, average acres per hour over half a field. | |
