I would never have any on my property. If you ever want to irrigate then no pivot. And who would want to farm around the post? I spent my whole adult life clearing land so no obstacles to farm around. So I would not do it for any amount of money in farm fields.
And I don't like to look at them and would not put one on non farm ground either. They devalue your land values. No one would want to build a nice house with a view of wind milles.
I know a guy that has one on his 20 acres . He got something like $9800 to site the unit for his land and he gets like $350/ month royalties. He does not have a fancy home at all but it certainly has been devalued big time.
