| Yes, Supra that is the ditch he cleaned out to get stock water, however the ditch flowed into the neighbor's field for their water right to irrigation. However, all irrigation rights in that upper country had been suspended because they were on low water allocations at that time. Thus, the neighbor was turned in for irrigating out of compliance. At the .49 second mark in video there is a home way up on the hill out of focus above the black semi. That belongs to a cousin of mine, on top of that mountain my great granddad owned a few sections, I used to trail cows up there for the summer as a young kid. At round the 1.19-minute mark for a bit if you look over Heavy D's right shoulder and top of skyline the mountain is where I summer my cattle up there. Most all that country up there I've trailed cows or sheep as a kid with my granddad.
All water in the west has been filed on, my water rights go back to the late 1880's. Water is for fighting and whiskey is for drinking here. My brother still has control of the little draw in a canyon where the family had a moonshine still by a spring. It was well hidden from the main roads. | |
