SW So Dakota | Yesterday I went to the calf sale in Valentine NE to watch some friends calves sell. Market was hot. They had over 6,000 head there and over 90% were black Angus. When two loads of really nice 723 pound Hereford steers came in the ring I thought to myself ok let's see what the discount is going to add up to. They sold as good or better than anything else at $1.82/pound or $1315 a head. | |
