Subject: 2000 gmc C6500 wheel nut size and torque

Doing the  brake pads this week,  and  my  1-5/16'ths  socket  is a little shallow for the  rear wheels; studs are a little long.

Before I plunk down $$ for a  3/4 drive,  deep well 6 point socket,   Is that the correct size, or would it be metric??
The  1-5/16's 6 point   seems sufficient,  although a little loose.. if it was  a 12 point,  It may slip    a  33mm  would be a snort tighter.

Only seen one place that lists  nut torque,   475#   That sound about right?
