If it was my choice, it would be high-rise, elongated and have the smooth sides under the bowl, as opposed to the older fashioned ones that emphasize the shape of the drainage system. They're always dirty and not easiest to clean. I've seen the smooth sided ones at Lowes and Home Depot and they'd be so much nicer to keep clean. Of course, as noted, if there are little kids involved, especially boys, all bets are off on high-rise stools!
