Get a PTO hydraulic pump, save yours self a lot of future problems.

This is what I would recommend. I can't remember if the 1086's were a 12 or 15 gal per minute pump. They were designed to just raise and lower implements. The cyclo planters came with pto pumps just because of the same issue to run the hydraulic fan motors.

You should be able to find some of the pumps used for planters. I ran a 7200 deere vac planter on a 1086years ago with pto pump.

Thanks for the replies. I was assuming that was the best thing, but hoping I was wrong.

Honestly there are some pretty good new pumps out there for not that bad of a price, if I cant find a used planter pump. But by the time the plumbing and everything is done this definitely could get expensive. So, what all would I need in this system? How do i determine how large of a reservoir to use? Will I need to put in a flow control valve so I can get the fan speed just right? Where in the system does a filter go?
