If your salesman said you need a Grain Handler - RUN from him and look elsewhere!! He will do you no favors. They were popular here in the beginning. Virtually all of the ones in my rea have had at least one fire in them. They will not dry anywhere near what you are told without a lot of work (about 30% less). This is from friends that have them and a dealer that can actually get them to rated capacity. Possibly the new ones are better but I don;t think they changed their design. We put in a Sukup 2410 mixed flow 4 years ago. It will dry at rated capacity using full heat and then vacuum cools on the way out reclaiming the heat. Good efficiency and capacity but it does leave some yard cleanup. No washing screens from damp evenings that happens with tower dryers. We also have a 5" 40hp air system from the dryer to the bins. It is limiting once corn gets under 18%. At that point you turn down the heat. At near full amp draw on the 40hp we are pushing 1850 dry bph through it.
