Amarillo,Texas | We did that once with two combines, one tractor and cart and a pick-up.It was back in 1997 and I was on a harvest crew and we were cutting down by Olney,TX.The ranch we cut for had made a low water crossing on the Brazos River to save about 40 miles of driving. The rancher we cut for drove loaded cattle trucks across it when the water was low enough, usually just below the hoodline was low enough for them.
We drove both combines and I drove the tractor right across the Brazos. The water was about a foot below the frame of the tractor.Certainly something else, kinda scary, that river water was moving pretty fast and really messed with my head!!
I see nothing wrong here.Run the combine and all the heat generated will evaporate all the water in the bearings.
