northern ohio | Any suggestions for a good color printer with large ink tank. My cartridge printer can only do 8 to 10 pages at a time.

NE WI | Epson ecotank. My mom prints a lot for crafts and was always buying cartridges. After 922 pages these are the ink levels on the Epson. This is on the ink that came with the printer. ET-2760. North Dakota | I'll second the ecotank. They hold enough ink to print a couple thousand pages of text and mixed color/black pages. Refill ink is about $50 for all four colors. The only problem with the lower end ones is they don't print color photos the best. They do make one for color photos that has 6 tanks I believe but is about $600.

northern ohio | This looks like a good option. Mainly printing off field maps and yield data for landlords. Thanks

Central Alberta | bbos - 12/26/2021 20:24 Any suggestions for a good color printer with large ink tank. My cartridge printer can only do 8 to 10 pages at a time. I got sick of buying color ink cartridges at a hundred bucks a pop every time I wanted to print something. I went for a color laser about 20 years ago, and I never regretted it.

South Central MN | Brother color laser printers are amazing. Would never go back to ink

NE SD | Ditto on Brother color laser. My biggest problem with regular ink printers was that I would print a bunch of stuff one week, then it would sit for 3 weeks before printing anything again. I would spend more time running the clean cartridge thing or whatever else needed to be done to get it working fair again. The ink would go dry half the time, and I never would get a full usage out of a cartridge, not even close. No problem now....and the quality is much better.

West Michigan | What is a good model? Looking for a good color printer to use. Could someone link what they think is good and using. Too many model's to choose from. Just printing from computer and normal farm stuff.

South Central MN | I don't think you can go to wrong with a brother. Find one that is laser and select whether you want color laser and take the one with the best price.

NE SD | Philbert - 1/1/2022 20:50 Here you go. One year warranty and it will arrive looking like new. Just a heads up on the 3290cdw in the link. It's 329 brand new from the Brother website, whereas the refurb in the link is still 255. So not a HUGE difference to go with new if you are so inclined. But there is nothing wrong with the refurb as it has a warranty as well. Availability on a new one direct from Brother might be iffy though.

Wyoming | What we're using is a 8850CDW, which is a bit higher end than many people need. We have a 8810DW (which is B&W only) and the 8850CDW. Both of these units have document feeders, and they will do double-sided copying/printing/scanning. We have a ton of paperwork in our household, so when I need to scan/copy/fax/etc, I don't want to feed documents individually to the unit, I want to be able to lay 50 pages at a time into a document feeder and then go do something else. We purchased both of these units at Costco some years back. From what I see on Brother's web site, this appears to be the closest new equivalent:

South Central MN | I made the mistake of buying the single - sided version of this machine. I love it, but really wish I had double sided print and scan. I scan and store all of my documents electronically and right now I despise anyone who sends double sided documents. If you're going with a multi function to scan, I highly recommend going with a double sided scanner.

Still works though. | ||

WC MN | HP451 color laser. Laser doesn't blur or washout in the rain or sun. Inkjet is best for printing pics on photo paper.
