Nebraska | I don't see why you'd need a 80k machine. We've had a gehl 4840e for 9 years. It's got 60hp cab/ac/heat and hi flow hydraulics. Every option gehl offered except 2 speed which I really wish it had! It had 200 hours on it and we paid 23k for it. It will do anything a new machine of the same class will do....these are different times, finding one with 200 hours now would cost double what we paid in 2012.....this next decade is gonna break this country we live in, the housing market is on FIRE right now, if it goes into recession there will be bobcats and equipment for sale EVERYWHERE. Lots of fancy equipment has got bought in the last year but only one problem.....it's not all paid for.....yet, they banking on having work to do for the next 5 years...what if demand for work drops to zero.... remember 2008 when housing development basically stopped, it's a cycle just like farming. You'll be fine because you're just looking for a side gig but the guys actually doing this for a living will be the ones hurting.
