| I think you about need to have a way to dig along with the skid steer to make money or you’re going to be missing out on a lot of work. If you currently have a backhoe or mini excavator around you’re in good shape but I don’t see just owning a skid loader as a huge money maker. Sure some guys do but man if that’s all you can do you’re gonna wear a truck out going from 2-3 hour job here there and everywhere. Maybe some guys enjoy that kind of work. And I guess if you’re looking to just offset some retirement money you might get along okay. But if you really want to get in the game I think a 70hp ctl, 5 ton mini, a tandem low sided dump truck with a tandem 10 ton tag is about the minimum for a guy to plan on owning to actually make a living. | |
