Western ND | High school classmate of mine started his business over 10 years ago. Now runs 2 Bobcats, one on tracks, one on wheels and the largest mini excavator Bobcat offers. Has a few different trailers and a couple of pickups. Runs by himself 90% of the time. Water lines, sewer systems, snow removal, and grave digging and resetting. Does work for locals only, doesn't get involved with out of town owned corporations due to the paperwork nightmare. Does real well and is very affordable. Tills quite a few gardens in the spring, about $40 a pop. He has a laser to set up septic systems.
He is the first call for cemeteries in a 60+mile radius and can be busy at times with that but will always have it done on time and reasonably so thats how he became the guy to do them.
His diversity keeps the bills paid, no snow last year so he said the grave digging and resetting old ones pulled him through. He has a family and I'm not 100% sure if his wife has a part time gig or not, but they are smart with money and know how to be reasonable and still live comfortably. | |
