We bought a 3312 this year and absolutely loved it. It is built much better than the 3000 series. The best part was no carrier bearing In The middle of the cross auger to constantly plug up. Gathering chains are stronger. Front bearings are stronger. You can tip the head to match conditions . It was well worth the money to upgrade for us.
