Subject: Outfiting a Kinze 2000 to notill thoughts

wc missouri
I am a bascically a new farmer and have seen the benifits of no till and want to become better at it. Last year a purchased a Kinze 2000 6 row planter with interplants and want to know what I can do to improve it to be a better no till machine. All the meters both corn and beans were done through a meter max program before I bought the planter.

Here is a list of things that I know I need to do before we head to the field next year. The rear 6 were the only thing that were really used on this planter until I bought it. I know it planted only 100 acres of beans through the interplants before I purchased the planter so the interplant units are basically new and need nothing.

The rear 6 need new double disc openers as they are worn to around 13.5".

The wavey coulters on the rear 6 need replaced.

I am going to at Ketons to all the row units.

Should I replace the seed tubes, I have read where that can improve seed placement.

I have looked a spike closing wheels and drag chains, are they nessecary?

What about the wavey coulters should I ditch them or can they really be a help?

What about down pressure springs? This planter is very stock so do I need to bump these up?

Any help is apperciated, nobody around me does much notill so I don't have many to ask for tips or pointers.
