ctnfarms - 11/29/2021 19:38 You don't. I think this whole carbon capture is a huge scam. All it does is make money for large corporations and keeps the tree huggers happy until they find the next thing to cry about. No way would I sign up for it.
The lineup of folks behind the Summit Carbon Solutions project can hardly be classified as "tree huggers". Summit's leadership team is made up of large GOP donors, past GOP politicians, and investors with track records of using public funds to line their pockets. No free market freedom here.

If you reread what ctn said, he did not say Summit is the "tree huggers", Summit is the "large corporation" making the $'s off of the scam to keep the "tree huggers" happy.

And I agree, its a scam.   The whole issue of "carbon neutral" and "carbon sequestering" has never been anything but a scam but that's as much as I'll say or this thread will disappear because we can't talk about that here.

Interesting that the largest "tree hugger" orgs, including the Sierra Club and Iowa CCI and the Food & Water Watch, all oppose the Summit Project.

Summit, and its leadership have done more to damage the natural environment in Iowa over the last 30 years than nearly any other entity-save for Iowa Select Farms-and now claim to be looking out for the climate.
