| Dealt with this on a power company easement. We as neighbors all banded together and hired a big city attorney that specialized in land easements and eminent domain. Power company provided initial payment offer. Our attorney got us 5x initial offer. He took 30%. A few landowners got even more and went to final wire because they had some farmland they had zoned for a housing edition. Those got way more than just farmland. Had 1 farm that was used for specialty small plot research. Was able to prove more in damage compensation. Received 2 payments 1 for the land easement and 1 for 2 year damages.
They are coming thru no matter what and they will not change location and go up property line. Only thing u can do is to make them pay as much as possible.
1 last hail mary thing is u can find an endangered turtle or some wildlife that gets dnr involved to stop it or make it cost prohibitive to relocate wildlife. | |
