One of the greatest disservices the church has done is depict Jesus is a weak, pale wimp who made everyone happy. Those pictures do just that. It makes young men feel like they will be a wimp if they follow him.

When reality is he is a hard core dude. He never backed down from the truth. He worked with his hands most of his life. He stared evil in the eye and didn’t flinch. Heck he even rode a donkey that had never been ridden, I’m gonna doubt that looked like those side saddle pics in the childrens books.

I picture him kinda like a middle eastern construction worker. Pretty normal looking in that day, but he’d probably be lean and stout compared to folks today. Tough as nails literally.
