Wait until you find out the early church brought its holidays in line with pagan holidays so Christianity would be more appealing and familiar to pagans in an attempt to get them to convert.
I said nothing about identity politics of today or mentioned cultural appropriation. What does that have do with this post? Why would you tell me I'm doing something I'm literally not doing? You guys say I "stir the pot" but I post an actual interesting topic and half of you just start being mean.
And yes, I am aware the early church has many similarities with paganism and the efforts made to get pagans to convert. We see aspect of paganism in our holidays today. |
