Jesus is everything to everyone. To an Inuit Christian in Alaska he would resemble them. To a Caucasian in Iowa he would resemble them. To a Somali in Minneapolis he would resemble them. Nothing wrong with that because we are all formed in Gods image and Jesus is God in flesh and blood(Trinity). Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Someone else can most likely elaborate and/or form a better explanation.
I'm white but definitely envision a dark skinned, dark haired man when I think of what he looked like. But I understand people want to relate with who they worship in ways of appearance. But what I envision most when I think about Jesus is that stone he never threw...even though he was the only one qualified to do so. And how he had such compassion. |
