The CDF was designed for corn and beans without spacers. I think the spacers came about because of threshing issues in small grains. The CDF concave setup instructions would be for one without spacers. If spacers are 1/2", so the rotor is the same diameter as an 8 bar, I would think the original 8 bar setup should be used on the concave.
