Pete my sons and I was thinking of adding over the tire tracks to a Case 95xt. Only wanting them for times in corrals that are hard going and also fence line work in mountains. Would metal tracks be the way to go? Would need to be able to cross asphalt pavement occasionally. Would be a deal maybe only 50 hours a year needed for tracks. What would you recommend.
Thanks Russ
Yes you would be happy, I put ours on in the spring and fall to push manure and bed up on the piles and it makes it a different machine. Biggest issue is if you push them the tires will spin inside the tracks, tight tracks and decent tire tread help with that but they aren't totally unstoppable. They ride rough and tear up your base if you aren't careful and it's soft underneath. Crossing asphalt is no issue, just might make some scuff marks.
