Subject: RE: Good mud tire for pickup with bale bed

Central ND
Best gravel tires I have ever ran were Cooper ST Maxx. They wore well with no rock flats and took weight well. They aren’t cheap at all.

We have some Toyo CTs on a dually at work. Look pretty good so far but the 17s I needed last week were unobtainable.

I had horrible luck with Hankooks. Whether on my dually, single rear, or the wife’s Explorer, they always broke belts before the tread was shot. I tried some Khumos on the last round. They wore to the belts in between the lugs within 20k on my F350 srw.

Back in my bale bed days in Missouri, I always ran duallys. I agree that 2 bales and a cake feeder at 55mph was just pushing the limits of a SRW.
