You can keep your rattlers, they sound like mean suckers. I guess we learn to live with the critters around us.
That one was a black snake, they are less aggressive than the browns and less toxic but still nasty if you annoy them. I stopped when I saw him and he slithered over and sniffed around the 4 wheeler and went on his way, cool to watch him so close. There are red bellied blacks and blue bellied blacks, but I wasn't going to turn him over to check.
