I have posted the same thought elsewhere on this forum and I believe many others feel the same way. Dealing emotionally with killing two individuals, even when legally justified, cannot be an easy psychological burden to bear.
If this child is a good person who just made a series of (serious) and poor choices, he will probably require years of therapy. The defense stated he has been diagnosed with PTSD. If that is true, and part of it is because he killed two people and not just for his own fear of the situation, he will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. And he will ultimately have to live with it for the rest of his life.
So if you would bring a gun to a riot for protection
