Thanks for posting a reasonable well thought out response.
It is always good to reassess decisions made in the past and update where it is beneficial to society.
If people just blindly follow along with old ideas and never think about if they still are good for society or not then old things like racism etc. continue to harm others and I contend the many guns in peoples hands with no control or little control over the 'ability' of some individual to handle them is not beneficial to society.
So if you would bring a gun to a riot for protection
