I know this really made my wife mad when I have done this and I will probally get flamed on here for this but have you ever had such awful service that you didnt even leave enough money to cover the tab. Say you wait 20 minutes to get a drink and then 1 hour for your food and then would really have liked to had at least a refill but had to nurse what they originally brought you for the entirety of the meal. Lets say for example that your bill was 20.12 and you drop down a 20 and walk out? Or exact change for the tab and a penny underneath the plate? I have always left good tips many well over 20% but if the waitstaff dont care then my tip or lack thereof is sure gonna reflect it.
Speaking of tipping, wait staff and restaurants et al.....
