Two things...
1. That 17 yr old brain made decisions that evening in the "heat of battle" that I am 100% certain that my 50+ yr old brain would not have been capable of making. It truly sends shivers down my spine how he maintained a mindset to only shoot at those who were directly attacking him. I fear that I would have been slinging lead all over downtown Kenosha if I had experienced what he did. I have seen body cam footage of trained police officers not maintaining the level of control that Kyle had when things got hairy.
2. Nobody would have threatened to kill him or would have been chasing him down had he not been carrying a gun. If he had just went there and offered medical attention, he likely would have been fine.
So if you would bring a gun to a riot for protection
