| I mess around with antique furniture, buying and selling some of it. I've had good luck with plain old BBQ poured out onto newspaper in each of the drawers and let it sit for a few weeks the kind that does not have the match light fluid in it. I've also had good luck with a product called Odor Xit. If all else fails coating the insides of the drawers and the carcass on the inside with clear shellac will do it too. Another plus of the shellac is that the drawers will not swell and contract with humidity nearly as much anymore and it will control any sawdust that you may get from the drawer Glides. If you do shellac, after you do it make sure to hit all the drawer Glides with some candle wax and they'll be smooth as silk.
