Wait about 10-14 days after cutting/clearing. Then get you some diesel fuel and a spraywand and soak the pile good.

Once it's lit and starts to get hot, the sap turns to a gas and will aid in burning the pile. If you wait longer or do it too quick it won't burn clean.

That's what I was told by an old dozer operator that cleared land for a living. Always worked good when I did it.
