I was in Chicago the day MLK was assisted. Could see the fires from our hotel window, heard the gunshots, & our building shook a couple times, bomb blasts or what I never knew. Thankfully at least the governor was smart enough to have a large National Guard presence,. Also was stopped on I 94 for several hours going to a funeral a few years ago when they shut it down for rioting in Benton Harbor so have no desire to be anywhere near another riot.
So if you would bring a gun to a riot for protection
