A lot of you guys have the same thinking as I do! We have a lot of round bale netting, and since netting (and twine) are petroleum products, they burn like crazy ! When I want to get a good fire going, I always have bale netting, used engine oil, a leaf blower, and some matches.

And oh yeah, the green stuff will burn with fury ~if you get enough initial heat put to it!! About a month ago, I burned a ~huge pile of mesquite and Russian Olive. The majority of the limbs were about 6 inches in diameter. I had a little bit of a hard time getting it to go, since the limbs were so large, but once it took, it ~ was a fire ~ !! Couldn't get within 15 yds of it, no way ! And it ~completely burned down !! Nothing but ashes. . .

My landlord wanted to have a hole dug, push the limbs in the hole, and then burn it. I told him I could save him a little money (by not digging the hole). It worked great, and now that the ashes have been spread out a little, you can't even hardly tell where the bonfire ever was.
