NE SD | We went from leasing class 8 cases to buying an s670. Smaller combine and older but didn't really need that big of a combine for what we have. Had an 8120, 8230 and 8240 all have had 40 foot drapers and 8 row corn heads have a 40 and a 12 row on the 670. I'd say that 670 would eat beans just as good as the 8240 would our 8240 might of had something wrong with it cause it would shut the rotor off every time it lugged the combine down a little maybe that's just how they are. Where the deere will lug down a bit. Not quite apples to apples but the 670 is easier on fuel for sure. I'm sure a 780 is gonna be more Thirsty. The 3 speed hydro is a big let down on the deere vs the case but a 780 should have prodrive to fix that problem. I like the deere draper better than the macdons seems like a lot more controll in the cab | |
